You may have mastered downsizing, decluttering, and organizing, but perhaps other things are not quite right in your life.

Work directly with Minnesota life coach, Tonya Hazen, in person or via Zoom to tackle any personal goals you may have. We will determine where you are, where you want to be, and how to build a strategic bridge between the two.

Tonya has a Master’s in Community Counseling and has worked with couples, individuals, and families spanning young children to adults. She also has experience working with the elderly. Through 25 years of working with people, she has developed valuable skills to help people overcome negative life circumstances and align themselves with the life they desire and deserve. Through using empathy, problem-solving skills, and a high amount of adaptability, she can help people get unstuck so that they can meet their goals.

How Coaching Works and How It’s Different Than Therapy
A first session builds rapport and allows Tonya to learn the aspirations and background of the client where they outline their current situation, challenges, and obstacles they might be facing, as well as strengths. Setting expectations and boundaries is important to promote transparency. Specifically, this involves determining the difference between mental health therapy and life coaching.

There is a time and place for mental health therapy. However, mental health therapy is insurance-directed and involves a lengthy diagnostic process where best practice goals are defined by insurance coverage. A life coach is a more affordable option where the client makes all the decisions regarding their care and level of support they need, and work on strategic goals can start immediately.
